1981 Kawasaki KZ550 Project - "Rising Sun". Special thanks to Ron Klima of Precision Cycle of Sarasota, FL for an incredible build. It all started with a pretty beat up KZ and an idea for a custom bike for my son. The idea revolved around a modified cafe racer with better handling and a more upright position. The only original parts used were the engine, frame, gas tank and side covers. The front and back end come from a 2005 Suzuki SV650. The seat pan is cut down from a KZ1000 and then the seat was custom-fabricated. All controls, lighting, fairing, etc. were sourced via the net. We couldn't be happier with the result.
